Afia Kabir Anila has been integrated into mainstream education in
2006. She is studying at the British Standard School (BSS), an
English
medium school in Dhaka. Her physical, mental and behavioral
difficulties improved significantly while she was at the
School for
Gifted Children, and it was this which enabled her to gain admission
into mainstream school. Her behavioral problems have become far less
severe, and she can now cope sufficiently well to be able to study
alongside regular children. Her hand function has also improved, and
she can hold the pencil. Anila along with BSS class mates
Pritom 10 years old, he has been integrated into mainstream education in
2006 and admitted in a regular school at Dhaka. He was enrolled in
School for Gifted Children while he was 7 years old with Autism Spectrum
Disorder. During his special schooling at School for Gifted Children he
was given life skills training, regular education and computer operating
training. He has improved his overall behavioral problem and other
areas.
